Remarks: Billed as the best A332 ever built by Airbus - operating for one of only 6 Airlines in the world with a 5 Star Rating - others being Asiana Airlines (OZ), Cathay Pacific (CX), Malaysian Airlines (MH), Qatar Airways (QR) & Singapore Airlines (SQ). Damn my 28mm - wayy too much focal length for the 'Kingfisher First' Class which i just passed by :-(

Remarks: Words fail me when asked to describe RGIA, What an architectural masterpiece this place is. Unarguably India's best designed & maintained airport, lush greenery everywhere, huge open spaces both inside & out and the surreal feeling of freedom & peace that you feel here is Extraordinary !!!!
Remarks: No dearth of warmth here, after back-tracking on runway 27 she turns in via taxiway 'Alpha' firstly to recieve the shower-of-affection (water canon salute) and to pose for the media on this inagural edition of 'INDIA AVIATION 2008'
Remarks: 2:29pm. Both British Airlines - London bound but, regardless of the 2/3 minute gap, the fastest sub-sonic airplane - The 747 would arrive quicker at LHR than its rival cousin (behind, Virgin Atlantic Airbus 340-642 G-VWIN).
Remarks: HAL's test-pilots proudly displaying the WSI (Weapons Systems Integrated) Dhruv bolted with the more powerful 'Shakti' engine jointly developed by Turbomeca (France) and HAL. On the bottom centre you can see the THL 20mm gun turret housing the M621 low-recoil cannon, the white Pod in the nose centre houses the FLIR (forward-looking infrared), CCD camera & a target acquisition system with thermal sight and laser rangefinder. Remarks: India visit # 2 for Capt. Jean-Michel Roy as ship 001's nose gear burns rubber on runway 27 after a very low-speed fly-by over runway 09, seen here also activating reversers on its Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine # 2. Needless to say there was absolute pomp and fanfare all throughout this great visitors brief stay at Begumpet.
Remarks:"Yarra Valley" taxing out for departure to Sydney (SYD) as Qantas Airways Flight QF 124. There was quite an animated discussion going on among the cockpit crew, wonder what it could've been - Shane Warne & the IPL Twenty20 ???

Remarks: Early morning Gulf Air Flight GF 56 from Bahrain (BAH) just touched down on runway 27, operated today by an Airbus A340-300, seen here with her thrust-reversers activated & slowing down as it passes the GA ramp to its left. In the background are the beautiful Mumbra Hills.
Remarks: While climbing out from Abu Dhabi...passing through FL250....an exceptionally clear day over Al Ain
